Meet Sanjay Narayan
Sanjay Narayan: A Conservative Leader for Texas House District 108
I’m Sanjay Narayan, a devoted husband and father, proud conservative, and lifelong Texan, and I’m running to bring principled leadership and a culture of excellence and meritocracy back to the Texas House.
My parents came to America legally in pursuit of freedom and opportunity, and they raised me to cherish God, family, and country—in that order. I’m a product of public schools, and living proof that hard work, personal responsibility, and opportunity can lead to the American Dream. But today, our founding ideals are under attack, and too many career politicians in Austin and D.C. lack the courage to stand and fight for what’s right.

I attended Duke University and earned my law degree from the University of Pennsylvania, then built a career at top law firms and companies in New York and Dallas. But my calling was always to return home and serve the community that shaped me and my family.
As a longtime conservative activist, I founded the Republican club at my high school and later worked for local and statewide GOP officials. In 2019, Governor Greg Abbott appointed me to the Texas Radiation Advisory Board, where we oversee the use of radiation in our state, including for nuclear power. Nationally, I’m on the board of a nonprofit that advocates for meritocracy in education and hiring, opposing DEI mandates, and I’m a member of the Federalist Society.
My passion for quality education drives my advocacy for accountability in North Texas schools, where I’ve moderated roundtables with trustees to share best practices, ensuring our kids get a world-class education focused on academics, not political ideology. My wife, Amee, and I are raising our two young children in University Park, where we’re active in our local schools, and where I serve on the city’s Legislative Committee.
I’m running for State Representative because conservative leadership should actually mean something. We deserve a leader who will unapologetically and articulately defend our values, like the rule of law, securing our borders, cutting property taxes, ensuring Texas is energy independent and dominant, and guaranteeing our children receive a world-class education that prioritizes excellence and learning, not left-wing indoctrination. I’ll support the Republican Party platform and vote for leadership that is actually aligned with--not against— the grassroots.
My campaign is about being your voice, to ensure Texas remains a beacon of growth and opportunity for future generations—like my own children and yours. Join me in this fight for our community’s prosperity and Texas’s future. Together, we can keep HD 108 strong.
"Texas gave my family a chance, and I’m running to make sure that promise still means something for the next generation."

WHERE SANJAY STANDS
1. Cut—and Eliminate—Property Taxes
Texans deserve to own their homes without being taxed into renting. Soaring appraisals and the “Robinhood” recapture program—that confiscates and sends up to 70 cents of every local school property tax dollar in our district to Austin—are crushing families and schools. I’ll fight to eliminate Robinhood entirely, keeping our tax dollars in Dallas to fund DISD and HPISD students. I will work to cut wasteful spending, like giving subsidies to liberal Hollywood actors, cap runaway appraisals, and work to completely eliminate property taxes—ensuring lasting relief for homeowners and small businesses.
2. Secure our Borders and Uphold the Rule of Law
A secure border is the foundation of a sovereign nation. We welcome legal immigrants who assimilate and contribute, but your first act in Texas cannot be to break our nation’s laws. I’ll support stronger enforcement, tougher penalties, and standing with law enforcement to protect our communities—not the open border, anti-cop agenda. That means ending the magnets in our state that attract illegal immigration, like eliminating in-state tuition, free health care, and sanctuary cities, and mandating E-Verify for employers to stop the exploitation of cheap labor, which undercuts American workers and wages. Together, we’ll ensure safety and that our precious public resources go to law-abiding Texans only.
3. Empower Parents and Refocus Classrooms on Excellence
Our schools should prioritize excellence and merit, not activism. I’ll empower parents by ensuring schools across Texas, including in DISD and HPISD, focus on core skills—reading, writing, math, and an honest history of our country—without divisive agendas like radical gender ideology or critical race theory.
Let’s set high standards for all students regardless of background, ban smartphones and social media during school hours, recruit and pay top-tier teachers through merit-based incentives, and end DEI mandates in hiring and coursework. As a father of two in public schools, I’m committed to giving every child a world-class education.
4. Build More Reliable, Affordable Energy
Texas should be a leader in energy reliability and affordability. Instead, the 2021 Winter Storm exposed the bipartisan failure in our state of subsidizing unreliable wind and solar over fossil fuels and nuclear power—yet Texans still pay 40–60% more for electricity than our neighbors. I’ll end taxpayer-funded subsidies for weather-dependent energy, prioritize reliable resources like natural gas and nuclear, and strengthen our grid to support our region’s growth. Affordable, reliable energy is non-negotiable for our state’s future.
5. Conservative Leadership
As your State Representative, I’ll represent all Texans, regardless of party, while staying true to my conservative values. I won’t compromise on ensuring Texas remains pro-growth, pro-life, and pro-family. I opposed the failed impeachment effort of Attorney General Ken Paxton, and will only support a Speaker of the House backed by a majority of the Republican caucus. No more backroom deals that kill GOP priorities like election and voter integrity (e.g., paper ballots), at the expense of special interests.
